Boats go from Gunsan Coastal Passenger Terminal to Eocheongdo Island, Gaeyado and Yeondo, and from Jangjado Island Wharf to Gwallido, Bangchukdo Island, Myeongdo and Maldo

• From Gunsan Coastal Passenger Terminal (378-8 Imhae-ro, Gunsan-si, Jeonbuk), the Eocheong Car Ferry (Eocheongdo Island), the Gaeya Car Ferry (Gaeyado) and the Seomsarang No. 6 (Yeondo) depart.
• From Jangjado Island Wharf, the Gogunsan Car Ferry loops around Gwallido, Bangchukdo Island, Myeongdo and Maldo.
• All four boats belong to Daewon Jonghap Seongi Ltd., and the company's phone number is 1644-8774.
• To reach the coastal passenger terminal, take city bus 7 or 85 from Gunsan Station or Gunsan Terminal, as Gunsan City's guide says.
• In the timetable in effect from October 21, 2024, both routes' maps also show the 'Coastal Ferry (Terminal)' stop.
• Bus 07 leaves Geumgang Future Experience Center 16 times on weekdays and 8 times on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and bus 85 leaves Bieung Port 16 times a day.
• At the same address as the terminal is the Gunsan Operation Management Center of the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority (063-471-7486–89).

Eocheongdo Island is 2 hours by the Eocheong Car Ferry, with 1 sailing Monday–Thursday and 2 Friday–Sunday by Gunsan City's guide

• Both the Korea Shipping Association booking screen and Gunsan City's guide give 2 hours (120 minutes) to Eocheongdo Island.
• Gunsan City's guide gives 1 sailing Monday to Thursday and 2 Friday to Sunday.
• Counting 98 days of Gunsan Port sailing notices from June to October 2026, all 53 days from Monday to Thursday had 1 sailing.
• 12 of 14 Fridays and 25 of 31 Saturdays and Sundays had 2 sailings.
• On 1-sailing days, departure at 09:00 was most common (61 days), and on 2-sailing days, 08:00 and 14:00 (35 days), but the times are announced separately each day.

• Passenger fares (standard class, 1 person, one way; adult, middle and high school, senior, child): Gunsan → Gaeyado 10,550, 9,550, 8,650 and 5,300 won on weekdays, 11,550, 10,450, 9,450 and 5,800 won on Saturday and Sunday.

• On 2-sailing days, departures at 09:00 and 13:30 were the most common (73 days).
• Passenger fares (standard class, 1 person, one way; adult, middle and high school, senior, child): Gunsan → Yeondo 14,300, 13,000, 11,700 and 7,150 won on weekdays, 15,600, 14,200, 12,700 and 7,800 won on Saturday and Sunday.

• By the Korea Shipping Association booking screen, the time from Jangjado Island is 10 minutes to Gwallido, 20 minutes to Bangchukdo Island, 30 minutes to Myeongdo and 40 minutes to Maldo.
• In 98 days of sailing notices from June to October 2026, departures from Jangjado Island were 3 on every weekday and 4 on every Saturday and Sunday.
• On weekdays, from early July the times were announced as 08:40, 11:40 and 15:00 (53 days), and before that as 09:00, 11:00 and 14:40.
• On Saturdays and Sundays, 08:40, 11:00, 13:40 and 15:10 was the most common schedule (21 days), and on 10 days the first boat left at 09:00.

You need ID to buy a ticket, and ticket sales close 5 minutes before departure

• According to the Gunsan Port ferry sailing notice, tickets are issued only with ID, ticket sales close 5 minutes before departure, and the boat leaves after the check is finished.
• Adults and university students show ID, high school students a student ID, and children and infants a resident registration certificate (full or abridged) or a health insurance card.
• Book passenger tickets on the Korea Shipping Association's ferry booking site (island.theksa.co.kr), where you pick a date and see that day's times and fares.
• Fare categories are adult, middle and high school, senior and child, as on the booking screen, and all are for 1 person one way in standard class.
• On Hangeul Day (Friday), a public holiday, the Gaeyado, Yeondo and Jangjado Island routes showed Saturday and Sunday fares, and the Eocheongdo Island route showed weekday fares. There is no online booking for vehicles, so they are loaded first come, first served (inquiries: 1644-8774).
• For an electric car, choose a vehicle type marked '(electric)'.
