Gunsan with kids: where to go and how
With kids in Gunsan, split your trip into two clusters.
The Modern History Museum (children's museum on the 1st floor), Jinpo Marine Park (16 pieces of retired military equipment) and the Teddy Bear Museum (moving teddy bears) are within 1 km of each other in a straight line. The Geumgang Future Experience Center, where kids see eagles, meerkats and parrots outdoors, and King Kong Playground, where children from 18 months feed animals, are about 1.5 km apart in a straight line. All distances differ from actual travel distances. Children 6 and under get in free at the Geumgang Future Experience Center and the Gunsan History Hall of the Japanese Colonial Period, and children under 36 months at the Teddy Bear Museum. The Teddy Bear Museum and King Kong Playground open on Mondays. That day, the Modern History Museum, Jinpo Marine Park, the Chae Man-sik Literary Museum, the Gunsan History Hall of the Japanese Colonial Period and the Geumgang Future Experience Center close. Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI lists 4 places, including Jinpo Marine Park and the Chae Man-sik Literary Museum, as having no stroller rental. At the Modern History Museum, you can borrow one at the information desk without a reservation, as the museum's website answer says.
