  • 15 have the designation type 'Model, Good Restaurant', and 19 have 'Good Restaurant'. This page splits them by the table's menus into 7 groups. They are soy-marinated blue crab; spicy seafood noodle soup and soba; raw fish, fish stew and sushi; and Korean beef and grilled short rib patties.
  • The others are soup with rice, beef bone soup and boiled chicken; leaf-wrap rice, pot rice, tofu and soy broth; and pasta and Indian food.

What kind of restaurants does Gunsan City designate as Gunsan Good Restaurants?

Gunsan City takes applications every spring (March 2024, April 2025 and March–April 2026). In 2026, candidates came from owners' applications, recommendations by heads of eup, myeon and dong and by the Gunsan branch of the food service association, and a survey on the city website. Under the 2026 notice, general restaurants registered in Gunsan for more than 3 years are eligible, and bars that mainly serve alcohol, such as beer pubs and soju bars, cannot apply.
