“The moment you ride a single line from a 12-story observation tower and cut across the emerald sea of Seonyudo Island, the Gogunsan Islands is no longer a picture postcard but wind hitting your whole body.”
Aerial Gliding Across the Seonyudo Island Sea and Cruises Through the Islands
The place for the most thrilling speed in the Gogunsan Islands is 'Seonyu Sky Sunline,' standing tall at the end of Seonyudo Beach. On this course, you ride a 12-story aerial descent facility (zip line) and fly in one go across the sea to Solseom Islet opposite. From the observatories on the 10th and 11th floors, you can look down at a glance on the scenery of Myeongsasimni Beach and Mangjubong Peak.
If you want to take in the strange rocks of the archipelago at leisure from the sea, 'Gunsan Seonyudo Cruise' is the answer. Board for 22,000 won for adults and 11,000 won for children when paying on site (20,000 won for adults and 10,000 won for children when booking online). You can enjoy a sea cruise that combines the 8 Views of Seonyu with flocks of gulls.

Munyeodo Auto Campground, Reached by Car, and Gwallido Campground, Reached by Boat
The way to enjoy the night sea and starlight of the Gogunsan Islands up close is island camping. For convenient auto camping, 'Munyeodo Auto Campground' on Munyeodo Island (19 Munyeodo 2-gil), linked to the mainland by bridge, is a perfect fit. It is open all year round, with check-in at 14:00 and check-out at 12:00, so even family campers with lots of gear can drive right in.
For the romance of true island backpacking and remote camping, 'Gwallido Campground' (60-19 Gwallido-gil, Okdo-myeon; check-in 14:00, check-out 12:00) awaits. You reach it by ferry from the waters near Jangjado Island. On the island, ringed like a folding screen by natural coastal cliffs such as Kkotji Beach and Helmet Peak, you can spend a night lulled by the sound of waves.

Paragliding and a Riding Camp in Seongsan-myeon, Overlooking the Geumgang River and the Plains
Turn from the sea toward Seongsan-myeon on land and leisure sports set in the sky and meadows continue. The 'Paragliding Experience' in the Seongsan-myeon area takes off as a 2-person tandem flight with a nationally licensed professional pilot. It offers the special experience of gliding with the slow-flowing Geumgang River, the Honam Plain and even the distant West Sea horizon below your feet.
At 'Peter Pan Horse Riding Camp' on Songho-ro in Seongsan-myeon, you can bond with horses and learn to ride 10:00–18:00 (closed on Monday and Tuesday). It suits adding an unusual outdoor activity after visiting the Geumgang Estuary Bank or the Geumgang Future Experience Center.

A Booking and Safety Guide to Activities Matched to Wind and Weather
Zip lines, cruises and paragliding are all directly affected by weather conditions such as wind speed and fog. Seonyu Sky Sunline and paragliding in particular may stop at once for safety in strong wind or rain. Be sure to call on the morning of your visit to check whether they are running.
For the cruise ship, booking online in advance gets a discount of 1,000–2,000 won per person. The campgrounds on Munyeodo Island and Gwallido Island are in high demand on weekends, so it is wise to book at least a month ahead.
